Born and Tavascan are electric
Both sit on the group electric platform shared with the Volkswagen ID models. They still depend on a 12 V battery to wake the car, and a weak one can leave a fully charged EV unresponsive.
AGM or EFB as standard
The Formentor, Leon and Ateca all have start-stop, and several versions add 48 V mild-hybrid assistance. Their 12 V battery is an EFB or AGM type and must be replaced like for like.
Does the Terramar need battery registration?
A new battery in a Cupra should be coded to the car through diagnostics, as on other Volkswagen Group models. Our technician does this as part of the fitting.
