Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use 247carbattery.com or book a service from 247CarBattery by phone or WhatsApp. Please read them before you book. They set out what we do, what we ask of you, how the battery warranty works and where our responsibility ends.

Updated

1. Agreement to these terms

By using this website or asking us to carry out a service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not book a service.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean 247CarBattery. "You" means the person who uses this website or books a service. If you book for a car you do not own, you confirm that the owner has agreed to the work.

This website has no accounts, no checkout and no online payment. A booking is made when we confirm the job with you by phone or WhatsApp.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights that you have under the consumer protection laws of the United Arab Emirates and that cannot be excluded by agreement.

2. Scope of our services

We provide a mobile car battery service in Dubai, and also in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The technician comes to the car, whether it is at home, at work, in a basement or mall car park, or at the roadside.

When you buy a battery from us, delivery to the car and fitting are included with the battery.

Every service depends on coverage, technician availability and stock. We may decline a job that we cannot do safely or properly, for example where the car cannot be reached or the correct battery is not available.

Our services are:

  • Battery testing, including a check of the charging and starting system where needed.
  • Jump-starting a car with a discharged battery.
  • Supplying and fitting a replacement battery at the car.
  • Battery registration or coding on cars that require it.
  • Arranging other car services: mechanical repairs, AC work, tyres, towing, recovery and maintenance. Some of these are carried out by partner workshops.

3. Quotes and how the price is confirmed

We tell you the price before any work starts. The quote is based on the vehicle details and the problem you describe to us.

The price of a battery depends on its size, technology and brand, so we need the make, model and year of the car to quote correctly. Any charge for a visit where no battery is bought, such as a test or a jump-start on its own, is also confirmed before the technician is dispatched.

If the technician finds at the car that it needs a different battery or different work from what was quoted, the technician tells you the new price and the reason before doing anything. No work is done and no part is fitted until you agree.

A quote applies to the job and the time it was given for, because prices and stock change. The amount you pay is the amount shown on the invoice.

4. Arrival estimates

Any arrival time we give is an estimate, not a guaranteed time. We confirm the estimate with you before the technician is dispatched.

The estimate depends on your location, traffic, the stock of the battery your car needs and access to the place where the car is parked. Weather, accidents and road closures can also change it.

If the technician is going to arrive later than estimated, we tell you. If the new time does not suit you, you can cancel at no charge before the technician arrives.

5. Testing before replacement

The technician tests the battery, and where needed the charging and starting system, before recommending a replacement. A car that will not start does not always need a new battery.

If the test shows that the battery is healthy or only discharged, we tell you, and a jump-start or a recharge may be enough. If the fault lies elsewhere, such as the alternator, the starter or the wiring, we tell you that too and can arrange a repair.

A test result describes the condition of the battery and charging system at the time of the test. It is not a full diagnosis of the vehicle.

The decision to replace is yours. If you ask us to replace a battery that tested healthy, we can do so, but a new battery may not fix the fault.

6. Your responsibilities

The job goes smoothly when the details are right and the technician can get to the car. If the details given to us are wrong and the technician arrives with a battery that does not fit, or cannot reach the car, a new arrival estimate applies and a call-out charge may apply as described under cancellations.

On some cars, disconnecting the battery resets the clock, radio presets, window and seat memory and similar settings. If your radio needs a security code, have it ready.

You agree to:

  • Give an accurate location and the correct make, model, year and engine details of the car.
  • Stay reachable on the phone number you gave us until the technician arrives.
  • Own the car or have the owner's permission for the work to be done on it.
  • Make sure the car is somewhere it is safe and lawful to work on it, and tell us if it is on a road shoulder, in a basement with a height limit or in a restricted area.
  • Arrange entry with building, mall, community or site security where the technician needs it to reach the car.
  • Have the key with you, open the bonnet, and tell us about known faults, earlier electrical repairs and any added electrical accessories, alarms or trackers.
  • Keep children and pets away from the work area while the technician is working.

7. Batteries and warranty

New batteries we supply carry a warranty of up to 24 months, depending on the battery. The exact warranty term for your battery is written on your invoice, and that written term is the one that applies.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects, meaning a battery that fails in normal use because of a fault in its materials or construction. If our test confirms such a defect within the warranty term, we replace the battery with the same model or an equivalent one.

A warranty claim needs the invoice and a test of the battery by our technician. Contact us on the phone number or WhatsApp shown on this website and we will arrange the test. If the test shows that the battery is discharged but not defective, or that it failed for a reason the warranty does not cover, we explain the result and your options, and any charge is confirmed before work starts.

The warranty applies to the battery itself and not to other parts of the car. It is in addition to the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the United Arab Emirates.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage, such as a cracked case or damaged terminals.
  • A faulty charging system in the car, for example an alternator that overcharges or undercharges the battery.
  • Deep discharge caused by leaving lights or accessories on.
  • Tampering, including opening the battery, altering or removing its labels, or repair by anyone other than us.
  • Flooding or an accident.

8. Battery registration and coding

Some cars monitor the battery and need a new one registered, or the monitoring reset, with a diagnostic tool. This applies to BMW, Mini, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Land Rover and Volvo, and to many newer Ford and Mercedes-Benz models.

Whether registration is needed varies by model and year, so we check before dispatch. Where the car needs it, we tell you before the work starts and confirm whether our equipment supports your model.

Without registration, the car may keep charging the new battery as if it were the old one, and the battery life shortens.

If you decline registration on a car that needs it, or a fault in the car prevents it, we tell you and note it on the invoice. A battery failure caused by incorrect charging is not covered by the warranty.

9. Old battery removal and recycling

When we fit a new battery, we take the old one away for recycling unless you ask to keep it.

Car batteries contain lead and acid and must not go into general waste. Once we take the old battery away with your agreement, it cannot be returned to you later.

If you keep the old battery, you are responsible for storing it and disposing of it safely and lawfully.

10. Jump-start service and its limits

A jump-start gets a car with a discharged battery running. It does not repair a failed battery and does not fix whatever caused the discharge.

We cannot promise that a car will start after a jump-start, or that it will start again once the engine is switched off. A starter, fuel or immobiliser fault will stop it, and a worn or deeply discharged battery may not recover.

The technician may refuse a jump-start where it is not safe, for example when the battery is cracked, leaking or swollen, or the cables or terminals are badly damaged.

On hybrid and electric cars we work on the 12 V battery only. We do not jump-start or service the high-voltage drive battery.

11. Services carried out by partner workshops

Some of the services we arrange are carried out by independent partner workshops and operators. These include mechanical repairs, AC work, tyres, towing, recovery and maintenance.

We tell you when a job will be done by a partner. The partner is responsible for its own work, for the parts it fits and for any warranty it gives, and its price and warranty terms are confirmed to you before work starts.

Time and cost estimates for workshop jobs can change once the vehicle has been inspected. Nothing beyond the agreed work is done without your approval.

We stay your point of contact. If something goes wrong with a partner job, tell us and we will take it up with the partner.

12. Payment

Payment is due when the work is completed, unless we agree otherwise with you. You can pay by cash, card, Tabby or Tamara.

Card, Tabby and Tamara payments depend on a working network connection and on approval by the provider, so tell us how you plan to pay when you book.

An instalment plan with Tabby or Tamara is an agreement between you and Tabby or Tamara. Approval, instalment dates, fees and collection are set by them under their own terms, and we are not a party to that agreement.

We issue an invoice for every job. Keep it, because it states the warranty term and is needed for any warranty claim. Where VAT applies, it is shown on the invoice.

13. Cancellations and call-out

You can cancel at no charge at any time before the technician is dispatched. Call or message us as soon as you know.

A call-out charge may apply if you cancel after the technician is on the way, or if the technician arrives and cannot reach you or the car. We tell you about any call-out charge when you book.

No call-out charge applies when we cancel. We may cancel or reschedule a job when the correct battery is out of stock, when the car cannot be reached safely, or when events outside our control stop the technician from attending. We tell you as soon as we can.

14. Our liability

We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill, and we are responsible for loss or damage caused by our negligence or by our breach of these terms.

Where we are responsible, we put it right by redoing the work, replacing the part or refunding what you paid for that job, and we cover direct damage to the vehicle that our work caused. Tell us about a problem as soon as you notice it and give us the chance to inspect the car before anyone else works on it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:

  • Faults that were present before our visit or are unrelated to our work, including faults that only show once a healthy battery is fitted.
  • The loss of stored settings such as the clock, radio presets or seat memory after the battery is disconnected, which is normal on some cars.
  • Delays or failure to attend caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as traffic, road closures, accidents, weather or restricted access.
  • Loss that results from inaccurate information given to us, or from missing permission or access.
  • Indirect loss such as lost earnings, missed appointments or the cost of other transport.
  • Work, parts and advice supplied by a partner workshop, beyond our own part in arranging the service.

15. Website content and accuracy

The guides, battery information and advice on this website are general information. They do not replace a test or an inspection of your car.

Battery sizes, technologies and registration requirements vary by model, year, engine and market. We confirm the correct battery for your car before dispatch, and that confirmation is what counts.

We work to keep this website accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is free of errors or always available. The coverage map shows approximate service areas and is not a promise that we can attend at a given place or time. Product images are for illustration.

Links to services run by others, such as WhatsApp, Tabby and Tamara, are there for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content or for how they operate.

You agree not to misuse this website, for example by interfering with how it works or by trying to gain access to it without permission.

16. Intellectual property and trademarks

The text, design, graphics, logo and code of this website belong to 247CarBattery or its licensors and are protected by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. You may view and print pages for your own use. Copying, republishing or commercial use needs our written permission.

Battery brand names, car make and model names and their logos are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to describe the batteries we supply and the vehicles they fit.

That use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement from those owners. The names Tabby, Tamara, WhatsApp and Google also belong to their owners.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms and the services we provide are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.

If you have a complaint, contact us first and we will try to settle it with you directly. A dispute that cannot be settled this way falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai. This does not affect your right to complain to the competent consumer protection authority.

If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest of the terms stay in force.

18. Changes to these terms and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest update, and the version published on the day you book applies to that job.

Questions about these terms, an invoice or a warranty can be sent to help@247carbattery.com. You can also reach us on the phone number and WhatsApp shown on this website.
