About 247CarBattery

247CarBattery is a mobile car battery service in Dubai that also serves Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Our technicians come to your car, test the battery, jump-start it if that is enough, or fit a new one on the spot. We work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call or send your location on WhatsApp using the number shown on this website, or email help@247carbattery.com.

What we do

We replace car batteries at the place where the car has stopped. A technician brings a tester, tools and the battery your car takes, so the job is done without a tow or a workshop visit.

Three jobs cover most calls: a battery test, a jump start and a car battery replacement. Delivery and fitting at the car are free when you buy a battery from us, and you can pay by cash, card, Tabby or Tamara.

Other car services can be arranged through us as well: mechanical repairs, AC, tyres, towing, recovery and routine maintenance. Some of that work is carried out by partner workshops, and we tell you when that is the case.

How a call-out works

A call-out starts with a phone call or a WhatsApp message. The steps after that are the same at any hour.

The arrival estimate depends on your location, traffic and the battery needed. We give it to you before dispatch and tell you if it changes.

  • You call or message us with your location and the car's make, model and year.
  • We confirm the battery that fits, the price and an arrival estimate before anyone is dispatched.
  • At the car, the technician tests the battery and the charging system.
  • If a jump start is enough, that is what you get. If the battery has failed, the new one is fitted and registered where the car requires it.
  • The engine is started and the charging voltage checked. You pay, receive an invoice showing the warranty term, and the old battery goes for recycling.

Where we work

Dubai is our main area, and we also take call-outs in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The coverage map on this website shows the areas we reach.

The technician comes to wherever the car is parked: a villa driveway or apartment building, an office car park, a basement, a mall car park or the roadside.

Basements and malls need a little more detail. Send the parking level, the bay number or nearest entrance, and mention any height limit. Building security may have to let the technician in, so a word with them beforehand saves time.

On the roadside, switch on the hazard lights and wait somewhere safe, away from traffic. If you are not sure whether we reach you, send your location on WhatsApp and we will tell you.

How we choose a battery

Testing comes first, because a car that will not start does not always need a new battery. A healthy rested battery reads about 12.6 to 12.8 V, a load test should hold 9.6 V or more, and with the engine running the charging voltage should be roughly 13.8 to 14.4 V. Readings that point to the alternator or the starter are reported to you as such.

Technology is matched to what the car was built with. EFB is an improved flooded battery for entry-level start-stop cars. AGM is needed for start-stop with regenerative braking and for most premium cars, and a car that came with AGM gets AGM.

Size follows the standard the car uses. Japanese and Korean cars mostly take JIS sizes such as 55D23L or 80D26L, European cars take DIN sizes such as DIN 70 or DIN 80, and American cars use BCI group sizes. The right size means the battery sits in the tray, the terminals are on the correct side and the capacity suits the car.

Registration is the last check. BMW, Mini, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Land Rover, Volvo and many newer Ford and Mercedes-Benz models monitor the battery and need the new one registered or the monitoring reset. Otherwise charging stays tuned to the old battery and the new one wears out sooner. This varies by model and year, so we check before dispatch.

What we will not do

Three things are not on offer at any hour. We will not:

  • Sell a battery the car does not need. When the test shows a healthy battery, we say so and look for the real cause.
  • Quote an arrival time we cannot keep. You get an estimate based on where the technician and the battery actually are.
  • Fit the wrong technology. A standard flooded battery in a car built for AGM or EFB does not last, so we do not fit one.

Warranty and old batteries

New batteries come with a warranty of up to 24 months, depending on the battery. The exact term is written on your invoice.

Manufacturing defects are what the warranty covers. A claim needs the invoice and a test by our technician, and the full conditions are set out in our Terms and Conditions.

Heat is the reason batteries wear out faster here. In temperate climates a battery lasts roughly 3 to 5 years, and in Gulf heat often around two, because heat speeds up the chemistry and self-discharge.

Your old battery is taken away for recycling when the new one is fitted. Car batteries contain lead and acid and should not go into general waste.
