On G70, G80, G90 and GV80 the 12V battery is under the boot floor or behind its side trim. Jump-start terminals are provided under the bonnet, so a flat car can be started without emptying the luggage area. Replacement includes reconnecting the vent tube.
AGM in a DIN case
Genesis fits AGM batteries in European-style DIN cases, typically 80 Ah or larger depending on engine. A JIS battery from an older Hyundai saloon will not suit the tray or the clamp. A car built with AGM must get AGM again.

No. The G70 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a G70 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Where is the battery on a Genesis G80?
It is in the boot, under the floor panel, on G80 and on the earlier Hyundai Genesis saloon. You do not need to reach it to jump-start the car because there are terminals under the bonnet. For replacement our technician works from the boot and reconnects the vent tube afterwards.
