What to know about Honda batteries
The compact B24 case
Four-cylinder Civic, CR-V and many Accord models use the narrow B24 case, around 45 Ah. Fitting a wider D23 battery needs a different tray and clamp, so we replace like for like unless the car is already set up for the larger case.
Radio code and window reset
Disconnecting the battery makes older Honda audio units ask for a security code, and the auto up-down windows may need resetting. Newer units recover when the power button is held. Have the code card ready if your car is from the older group.

Honda e:NP1 battery questions
Which battery does a Honda e:NP1 take?
A Honda e:NP1 typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range 80D26 – 105D31 (70–90 Ah). Most e:NP1 cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a e:NP1 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the e:NP1 need battery registration?
No. The e:NP1 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a e:NP1 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
My Honda radio asks for a code after the battery change. What do I do?
On newer cars, hold the audio power button for a few seconds and the unit restores itself. Older units need the five-digit code from the card supplied with the car or from a Honda dealer using the serial number. It is worth finding the code before the battery is disconnected.
