Which battery does a Nio EC6 take?
A Nio EC6 typically takes a 12V lithium or auxiliary or AGM battery. The EC6 runs its locks, screens and computers from a small low-voltage battery that is separate from the drive battery. Its type depends on the build year, so we confirm it from your VIN or a photo before sending a technician.
Can you replace a EC6 battery where it is parked?

Does the EC6 need battery registration?
No. The EC6 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a EC6 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
My Nio shows a 12V battery warning. Can I keep driving?
Treat it as a prompt to act soon. While driving, the car supplies the 12V system from the main pack, but a failing 12V battery may not wake the car next time. Have it tested, and avoid leaving the car parked for days.
