Fast high-voltage charging has nothing to do with the 12V system. Door handles, screens and the computers that close the main contactors all run from 12V, so a weak 12V battery can immobilise a fully charged XPeng.

Which battery does a XPeng G6 take?
A XPeng G6 typically takes a 12V lithium or auxiliary or AGM battery. The G6 runs its locks, screens and computers from a small low-voltage battery that is separate from the drive battery. Its type depends on the build year, so we confirm it from your VIN or a photo before sending a technician.
Can you replace a G6 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the G6 need battery registration?
No. The G6 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a G6 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Why did my XPeng 12V battery go flat when the main battery was at 80 percent?
The two are separate. The car tops up the 12V battery from the main pack, but a 12V unit weakened by heat and age stops holding that charge. When it drops too low, the car cannot wake to recharge it.
