Oil spots or a sweet-smelling coloured puddle appear under the parked car.
A rattle on cold start, or a ticking that rises with engine speed.
What engine repair covers

How it works, step by step
Describe the symptoms
Call or WhatsApp your location, car make, model and year, and what the engine is doing. A warning light photo or a short video of the noise helps the workshop prepare.
Collection is arranged
If the car is safe to drive, a driver collects it. If it is overheating, misfiring badly or leaking heavily, it travels on a flatbed so the fault does not get worse.
Diagnosis and quote
The workshop scans fault codes, pressure-tests the cooling system and inspects for leaks as needed. You receive the findings and a quote, and nothing is repaired until you approve it.
Repair and handover
Approved work is carried out, the engine is run up to temperature and road tested, and the car is returned to you with an explanation of what was done.
What Gulf conditions change
Dubai summers put the cooling system under constant load. Long idling on Sheikh Zayed Road with the AC on full means the radiator fan, water pump and coolant do the work that airflow does on an open road. Old coolant, a weak fan or a sand-clogged radiator often shows up first as overheating in traffic, not on the highway.

Layla H.Dubai Marina · Nissan PatrolCar was dead on P2 of my building at 1 am. I sent the tower name and parking level, they told me which battery the Patrol takes and when the technician would get there. He tested it first, showed me the reading, then fitted the new one.
Rahul M.Jumeirah Lakes Towers · Toyota CamryI was sure I needed a new battery. The technician jump-started the car, tested the battery and the alternator and said the battery was still fine, I had just left the lights on. Did not try to sell me anything.
Mei L.Business Bay · BMW X3They asked for the model year before coming and told me the X3 needs an AGM battery and registration. Both were done in the basement of my office. Paid with Tabby.
Kwame A.Al Nahda, Sharjah · Kia SportageTook a bit longer than the first estimate because of traffic on Al Ittihad Road, but they called to say so. Battery was changed in the sandy lot behind my building and the old one was taken away.
Omar K.Mirdif · Lexus ESFriday morning, public holiday, and someone answered on the second ring. Battery was fitted outside my villa before the family was ready to leave. Warranty is written on the invoice.
Noura S.Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi · Mercedes-Benz GLEThe dash was showing an auxiliary battery message. They explained on WhatsApp what it meant before sending anyone, which saved me a trip to the dealer.
Engine Repair: questions
Can I keep driving with the temperature gauge in the red?
No. Stop somewhere safe, switch the engine off and let it cool. Driving an overheated engine can warp the cylinder head or damage the head gasket, which turns a small repair into a large one. Do not open the radiator cap while hot. Send us your location and we arrange a flatbed.
What does a flashing check engine light mean?
A flashing light usually means an active misfire: one or more cylinders is not burning fuel properly. Unburnt fuel then reaches the catalytic converter and can overheat it. Reduce speed, avoid hard acceleration and have the car scanned soon. A steady light is less urgent but still needs a code read.
How do I know if my car has a timing belt or a timing chain?
It depends on the engine, not just the make. Belts are rubber and have a replacement interval set by the manufacturer in distance and years. Chains are designed to last longer but can stretch, especially with overdue oil changes, and then rattle on start-up. Tell us the model and year and we check which one you have.
How much does engine repair cost?
It depends on the fault, the engine and the parts needed. A coil or thermostat is a small job; a head gasket or timing chain is a long one. That is why the diagnosis comes first. You receive a quote covering parts and labour before any work starts, and you decide whether to go ahead.
