BYD has moved much of its range to a 12V lithium iron phosphate battery with its own management electronics. If your Denza has one, it cannot be replaced with a lead-acid battery from a service van.

Which battery does a Denza B8 take?
A Denza B8 typically takes a 12V lithium or auxiliary or AGM battery. The B8 runs its locks, screens and computers from a small low-voltage battery that is separate from the drive battery. Its type depends on the build year, so we confirm it from your VIN or a photo before sending a technician.
Can you replace a B8 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the B8 need battery registration?
No. The B8 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a B8 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Is it safe to jump-start a Denza?
