Which battery does a Lexus UX take?
A Lexus UX typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range 80D26 – 105D31 (70–90 Ah). Most UX cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a UX battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the UX need battery registration?
No. The UX does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a UX battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
Will changing the battery reset my Lexus settings?
Some settings can clear when power is cut, such as the clock, one-touch windows and saved radio stations. The engine computer relearns its driving data within a few trips. We tell you what to expect for your model before disconnecting, and seat memory is normally kept.
