Ram 2500 and 3500 with the Cummins diesel use two 12V batteries wired in parallel. Replacing only one leaves the old battery dragging the new one down, so we test both and normally change them together.
eTorque trucks keep a 12V AGM
Ram 1500 models with eTorque have a 48V mild-hybrid pack that restarts the engine, plus a 12V AGM battery for everything else. We replace the 12V unit only. The 48V pack is a dealer item.

Can you replace a 1500 RHO battery where it is parked?

Does the 1500 RHO need battery registration?
No. The 1500 RHO does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a 1500 RHO battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
