What to know about Soueast batteries
S09 carries more load
The seven-seat S09 has a larger engine, rear climate and more powered features than the S06 and S07. Its battery works harder, especially on school runs with the AC at full.
S06 DM plug-in hybrid
The S06 DM drives on a high-voltage pack and a petrol engine. Its 12V battery only runs the control electronics, and the type fitted may differ from the petrol S06. We confirm before dispatch.

Which battery does a Soueast DX3 take?
A Soueast DX3 typically takes a maintenance-free flooded or EFB or AGM battery, in the range DIN 70 – DIN 100 (L3–L5). Most DX3 cars take a maintenance-free battery. Versions with auto start-stop need EFB or AGM instead. If your engine switches off at traffic lights, tell us and we bring the right type.
Can you replace a DX3 battery where it is parked?
Yes. We come to homes, offices, basement and mall parking and the roadside across our Dubai coverage. Send the building name, parking level and any security rules so the technician can reach the car.
Does the DX3 need battery registration?
No. The DX3 does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.
How long does a DX3 battery last in the UAE?
About two years is typical here, against three to five in cooler climates. Heat ages the battery whether the car is driven or not, and short trips with the AC on full never quite recharge it. A test before summer shows how much life is left.
My Soueast is under a year old and will not start. Can the battery fail that early?
It can, usually from being run flat. A light left on or weeks parked at the airport will do it. We jump-start and test. A deeply discharged battery often recovers with a full charge and does not need replacing.
