On the G, Q50, Q70 and FX or QX70, the battery sits at the rear corner of the engine bay beneath a plastic cover. The cover and its clips come off first. It is a normal design, not a fault, but it adds a few steps to the swap.
The QX80 and the earlier QX56 are built on the Nissan Patrol platform with the same 5.6 V8. They use the same large JIS battery cases, and the extra seats, screens and climate zones mean capacity should never be downsized.
The Q30 and QX30 were developed with Mercedes-Benz and take a European DIN-size battery, with AGM on cars that have stop-start. A Japanese JIS battery does not fit their tray, so we treat these two models like a European car.

Often it is only low voltage. When the battery sags during cranking, control units for steering, stability and transmission can log a fault and light up together. If they clear after a jump start or a new battery, nothing else is wrong. Lights that stay on need a diagnostic scan.
Most Infiniti models do not need the new battery registered with a scan tool. Cars with stop-start must get the same battery type they were built with, AGM or EFB, and the Mercedes-based Q30 and QX30 are checked individually. Clock and window settings may need resetting afterwards.
