Start-stop varies by trim

No. The X70M does not need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool. Some settings such as the clock or one-touch windows may need resetting, which the technician does before leaving.

Probably not. A fridge, lights or a phone charger left running can drain a sound battery overnight. We jump-start the car and test the battery once it has taken some charge. If it recovers and holds voltage under load, you keep it. If it fails the test, we replace it there.
