Polestar shares battery monitoring with Volvo. After a 12 V replacement the monitoring may need a reset, depending on the model, and the windows need their automatic function reinitialised.

Polestar sells the 2, 3 and 4 in the UAE, and they are used as daily cars. An EV has no alternator, so the 12 V battery is topped up from the main pack, and heat ages it just as in a petrol car.
Every Polestar is electric or, in the case of the Polestar 1, a plug-in hybrid. We do not work on the high-voltage pack. Our job is the 12 V side: testing, support and replacement where it is a standard unit.

The Polestar 2 takes an H6 AGM battery. The Polestar 3 and 4 sit on newer platforms, and we do not assume they use the same unit. We confirm by model and year before dispatch.

Its 12 V battery can be supported from a booster so the car powers up, following the procedure in the manual. That is different from charging the drive battery. We do this on site, then test whether the 12 V battery needs replacing.
Expect something like two to four years in the UAE, depending on use and parking. The car usually shows a 12 V battery message before the battery fails completely. Do not wait long after that message appears.
We check first. If your model uses a standard AGM unit that we can supply and fit correctly, we do it at the car. If it needs dealer equipment, we say so on the phone and do not waste your time.
