Rox in the UAE: what wears the battery
The Rox 01 is a large seven-seat SUV aimed at camping and desert trips, and many UAE cars are Chinese-specification imports. Weekend use with long idle periods in between is hard on any 12V battery in this climate.
The Rox 01 always drives on its electric motors, with the petrol engine acting as a generator. Its 12V battery powers the control systems. If it is flat, neither fuel nor traction charge will bring the car to life.

The Rox 01 was launched in China as the Polestones 01 before the brand was renamed. Battery information is sometimes listed under the older name, so mention either when you contact us.
12V battery type needs checking
As a range extender, the 01 does not crank its engine from the 12V battery. The 12V unit may be lithium and not a standard lead-acid part, so we confirm before dispatch what can be done at the roadside.

Yes, within our service area of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Send your location pin. A 12V boost normally wakes the car. If you are on soft sand away from a track, tell us, as the van may not reach you.
Can the Rox 01 12V battery be replaced at the roadside?
That depends on the type fitted to your car, which varies with specification. Send a photo of the 12V battery if you can reach it. We tell you before dispatch whether we can replace it or only test and boost it.
Is the Rox 01 an electric car or a hybrid?
