Changan turbo engines, sold under the Blue Whale name, are commonly paired with start-stop on the CS and UNI crossovers. Those cars need EFB or AGM. A standard flooded battery wears out early under repeated restarts, and start-stop is the first function to drop out.
The Alsvin uses a small non-turbo engine and a compact DIN battery. Some versions do have start-stop, so we ask before dispatch. A weak battery in this car usually shows as slow cranking on the first start of the morning.
UNI-T, UNI-V and UNI-K cabins are built around wide screens, a digital cluster and cameras, and some trims use face recognition to load driver settings. These modules take time to shut down after locking, which adds to the drain on short-trip cars.
